Ladies this is my last newsletter. I first want to tell everyone how much I appreciate your support and help this year. It has been a good year. I know that you all will give our new officer’s the same support and love that you have given to me and we will have another great year for 2011 – 2012. We still have a month to go and programs to accomplish. First even though we may not have a program, I want all of you to Remember our D-Day veterans. If you have a loved one or friend that was in WW II in Europe and was a part of the invasion of Normandy, please give them a hug and a thank you for taking part in an attack that changed the world. My Dad was one of those who stormed the shores of Omaha beach on June 6, 1944 and was lucky enough to make it home in 1945.

We will have a Flag Day Ceremony on June 14 th at 7:00 PM. Before our meeting so please come early and have dinner with us and be there for the program.

On the 17 th at 6:00 PM we will have an Appreciation Day Party for all VFW members and Ladies and Men auxiliary, and there will be food and drinks and music. Everyone is invited so mark your calendars and plan on attending.

As this year draws to a close I am reminded of all the good things we have done and I hope we will continue to remember that we are “UNITED BY LOVE FOR OUR VETERANS AND COUNTRY & OUR COMMUNITIES”.
