We had a very good meeting in October. The program chairmen are doing a wonderful job as always. We had a very informative cancer program by Dr. Hirsch. Hospital Chairman, Gloria Martinez, hosted Patients Day Out with 39 residents attending. Thanks to all that helped her with that program.

Please call if you can help with the Buddy Poppy Drive the weekend of 14th and 15th on the base. We will also be at the Wal-Mart on Hwy. 351 on Veterans Day. We can use all workers. Don't forget about the Tamales, $8.00 a dozen, the proceeds to the Angel Tree. For orders, call Darlene Jurkis at 695-4503.

We will have a float in the Veterans Day Parade on the 15th. We are going to have a Fundraising Dinner on the 2nd Friday of each month beginning on November 14th from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. The price will be $5 for a one trip buffet and $7.50 for all-youcan-eat. The menu for the first dinner will be Spaghetti and Meatballs, Salad, Garlic Toast. We will sell Desserts for $1.00. Come and join us, we will need workers and/or desserts.

Our next meeting will be November 11th. Bring a side dish for turkey or dessert. Our meal is at 6:30 P.M. and the meeting at 7:30 P.M. The Post will have a guest speaker before the meeting, Rebecca Sharp with "Visiting
Angels", specializing in home care for Veterans.
